4 Years!

Jonathan and I celebrated our 4th anniversary by heading to Callaway Gardens. Some of you might know that Callaway is a special place to us since that's where we got engaged. We've been back every year since then, either in the spring time to see the flowers or at Christmas to see the lights.
We thought it might be nice to make it a two day event and stay overnight, sort of a last "baby-moon" type of thing. So, we dropped off the dog at boarding/daycamp and headed out. We had a great dinner at the fancy restaurant right beside where Jonathan asked me to marry him, then headed into town for a little antique shopping and of course, ICE CREAM!

Next day, we visited the major attractions - Birds of Prey show, Sibley Horticulture Center & the Butterfly Garden. If you've never been to Callaway Gardens, we highly recommend it. (Check it out online: http://www.callawaygardens.com/) Granted, it's much better if you can actually walk some of the trails or ride bikes (which we didn't think was the greatest idea for me to try for obvious reasons), but it's a nice place to relax and get away from the city life.
Here are some pictures from our time there:
This was the view from our room.

I was so happy to find an air vent - the butterflies are in a glass house & require "tropical climates", so it was HOT in there!Jonathan taking on the bull topiary. I think he's winning!
