Several weeks ago, we took a little trip back to our alma mater for homecoming. Technically, it was Jonathan's 10th reunion, however we didn't particpate in any of the celebrations that Furman had planned. We did have a great time visiting with some friends, eating some yummy food and watching some football.
Friday night we headed to "the mall" and showed Caroline the floats, fountains and carnival rides. We found the SAE float/tent and Caroline got a big kick out of the gold lion. It was fun to be a part of all the festivities and pretend to be back in college again. Ok, not really cause you can't do that when you're: A) feeling SO much older than the college kids walking around in mini-dresses and boots in the FREEZING weather B) are toting around a toddler who, by the way thought the porta-potties were super fun and wanted to visit them, just because and C) remember the fact that even though 9:30 doesn't seem late to you, payback will come in the morning when you have a grumpy toddler that didn't go to bed anywhere near bedtime and wakes up even earlier to prove a point. Oh well. To be honest, I wouldn't want to re-do college again. I'm pretty sure Jonathan echoes my sentiments too.

How many times could we have possibly gone down this huge inflated slide? I'm not sure, but it was a lot. It was super fun, even for us big kids too! She'd come down and immediately say "again?"
Saturday, we got an early start and got a great place to park and set up our tailgate. A little walk around the campus (my has it changed) and shopping the book store (you can always use another purple shirt, right?) then it was time for food! Look at all those purple shirts!
Jonathan had built a Furman cornhole game for our tailgate, but it seems the little ones thought it was a great place to stand and snack. We didn't get to play an actual game, but the children had a good time using it as a stage and putting the corn bags in the hole. Either way, they look awesome!

Sunday, before heading back home, we walked around the newly revised downtown Greenville river area. It is beautiful!
