Baby Shower

We have such a wonderful group of friends at our church! Jonathan and I are part of the young married Sunday School class, which started out a few years ago as the "Newlywed/Nearlywed" class - now I think other people in our church refer to our class as the "Baby-Making" class. Currently, there are 5 of us pregnant... not to mention the half dozen that had babies last year... and the year before that...We're definitely doing our part to add to the church congregation!

Here's a pic of the 5 ladies who are expecting. (the three of us in the middle are due within 2 weeks of each other! How fun is that!?!)
Anyway, back to the reason of this post - our class gave us baby shower to help us prepare for the arrival of our little girl. It was a couples shower and was lots of fun! I think the men mainly came for the yummy Mexican lunch and to hang out with each other. They did their own thing while we ladies "ooo'd" and "aah'd" over the baby gifts. We feel so blessed to have been "showered" by our friends AND family.

YUMMY - Home-made strawberry cake - my favorite!
And red velvet cake for Jonathan!

Jonathan's mom, dad and sister-in-law were able to come for the shower. It was wonderful to have family there to meet some of our friends!

My mom, sister & Grandma also came up for the shower and stayed a couple of days too. We were able to get the "nurse-wall" all set up and ready for the baby to come. It was great having them here. Funny note though - Elizabeth had a list of places where she wanted to eat while in Atlanta. Pretty much we went from eating to resting to playing with baby things to eating again... All fine things by me! :)
